Project Formulation and Appraisal Division

Project Formulation and Appraisal Division was established in 1972 through Government Order No. 2074/35-1-73-3/18(1)/72. The objective of creation of the division is to evaluate and appraise the economic feasibility, technical probability/feasibility, and economic & social benefits of the proposals for capital investment for various development projects in the state. The Division acts as the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) secretariat and the Public Investment Board (PIB) Secretariat for appraising the project proposals/estimates received from various development departments.

Planning Department

The department of planning in the state government is primarily responsible for making a development plan for the state, to initiate and undertake necessary exercises for this purpose and oversee and take an over-all view of the implementation of the plan, without diluting in any manner the role of different departments of the state government in the formulation and implementation of their respective plans
